Gregory Turocy

Gregory Turocy was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1991, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio in 1994, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Ohio State University in 1986. He also earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1988, with a major in Organic Chemistry and a minor in Analytical Chemistry. He earned a Juris Doctorate in 1991 from Mercer University.

He is the co-author of “The Synthesis of Racemic E and Z 2,3-Methanotyrosine: New Cyclopropyl Analogs of Tyrosine, Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1989, 54, 145; and he is the named inventor on several patent applications.

Professional memberships include the American Bar Association Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section; the American Chemical Society; the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association, and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (Vice President 2001-2002; Chairperson of the Chemical/Biotech Practice Committee 1996-2001 and 2003-2005).

Adjunct Professor of Advanced Patent Preparation and Prosecution (PPP2) at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
