Anthony Kim
Anthony Kim is a member of the California Bar and registered to practice before the U.S. patent office. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Tony was an in-house attorney at BlackBerry, where his responsibilities included case strategy, day-to-day management, and resolution (including settlement) of litigation matters involving teams of in-house and outside counsel; managing inbound and outbound indemnification demands; providing litigation support for the company’s licensing group; and responding to subpoenas and other third party requests. His matters included U.S. and foreign patent litigation (both offensive and defensive), IPRs and reexaminations, and arbitration, including a successful appeal before the Federal Circuit. Technology areas in which Tony has experience include recombinant DNA and protein expression techniques, UMTS, LTE, 802.11/Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth wireless communication standards, mobile device management, keyboard and touch input devices, camera and display hardware, video conferencing, processor and memory architecture, mapping, voice assistant architecture, and secure document collaboration. |
