Asmita Chande

Asmita Chande received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai, India in June 2004, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in May, 2006. Asmita is registered* to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Asmita has over five years of experience in drafting patent applications in a broad spectrum of technological areas in electrical, computer science, and mechanical engineering, for a variety of Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies. She has successfully prosecuted and achieved high patent quality for over a hundred patent applications that relate to diverse technologies, such as, wireless communication, mobile computing, analog and digital circuits, sensors, embedded systems, semi-conductors, power supply systems, motors, industrial automation, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, databases, operating systems, etc.

Prior to her work in intellectual property, Asmita was part of the research group at the Intelligent Design of Efficient Architectures Lab at the University of Florida, wherein her research dealt with architectural improvements in various embedded systems and the impacts of emerging techniques and applications on computer design.

In addition to being a recipient of scholarships for academic excellence and coordinating numerous technical activities at an undergraduate level, Asmita's accomplishments include an IEEE publication and several Computer Architecture as well as Digital and embedded system design related projects at the Master's level.

She has been an active member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), CSI (Computer Society of India) and the WICAR (Women in Computer Architecture) technical associations.
