Brian M. Baker

Brian Baker has significant intellectual property experience spanning technology areas including biomedical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, software and chemical/biotech arts. Brian has particular experience with inventions related to quantum computing, deep neural networks, cloud computing environments, augmented reasoning systems, data security, application program interfaces, server interfaces, encryption techniques, data compliance, natural language and image analysis techniques, 5G architecture, logic circuitry, and autonomous vehicle driving systems. Within these technology areas, Brian has extensive experience with advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Brian also has particular experience with inventions related to hydraulic, pneumatic, piezoelectric and electromagnetic pumps, motors, manifolds, valving systems and braking systems, fluid containment and delivery systems, hand-held and man-driven outdoor power equipment, autonomous landscape management machines, refrigeration and ice making systems, cooking appliances and associated cooking algorithms, commercial air conditioners, PET scanners, LIDAR, aircraft landing and airport management algorithms, aerospace vehicles and systems, weaponized and non-weaponized projectiles, drone systems, imaging and radar systems, lights and electronic lighting devices, multi-function printers, fluid sensors and systems, magnetic systems, semi-conductors, environmental fluid barriers, packaging materials and packaging material manufacturing machines, consumer and personal care products, surgical methods using novel surgical devices, operating room equipment, personal protective equipment, and cardiology, oncology and orthopedic surgical devices.

Brian received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron College of Engineering as Magna Cum Laude and was an Honors Scholar. While at the University of Akron, Brian participated in the Co-Op Program, working at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Johnson and Johnson. Upon graduation, Brian worked for six years as a biomedical engineer in new product development, R&D and manufacturing in both Fortune 500 companies and privately-owned engineering firms in areas of oral care, gastroenterology products, topical anesthetic refrigerants, and medical and pharmaceutical packaging. Brian graduated from the University of Akron School of Law, having participated for three years on the Akron Law Review and Intellectual Property Journal. Brian was admitted to the U.S. Patent Bar in 2009 and to the State Bar of Ohio in 2013.
