Keith Drabek

Keith Drabek is admitted to the Washington State Bar and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1992 and a Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law in 2007.

Keith has prepared and prosecuted patent applications regarding various technologies including semiconductor memory devices and programming methods, wireless systems, touch sensor technology, processor arithmetic structures, industrial systems, video processing, cryptography, optical devices, mechanical devices, internet advertising, and operating system management.

Prior to law school, Keith worked as a design engineer in the semiconductor industry for eleven years. His extensive design experience includes: designing embedded hardware and software; providing hardware and software design support as a factory application engineer; performing application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design, simulation and verification; and performing high-speed, low-voltage complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) analog circuit design, layout, and simulation.

While in law school, Keith gained experience in patent preparation and prosecution as a summer associate with a California-based intellectual property law firm. In addition, he gained experience in copyright law and intellectual property licensing as a legal extern with a Seattle-based corporation. During his first year of law school, Keith received the CALI Award in Legal Writing.
