John has built relationships and served clients for more than 15 years at Amin, Turocy, & Watson, primarily in areas of forward patent harvesting and ideation, patent preparation, patent prosecution, and patent portfolio development. John has received numerous accolades or awards from in-house counsel patent application review. Apart from his strong background in software systems, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, containerization, application programming interfaces, operating systems, computer vision, object recognition, data analytics, cryptography, cybersecurity, data storage and management, cloud computing, quantum computing, network protocols, and user interfaces/experiences, he has a specialization in hardware systems and significant experience in a wide array of other technological arts including semiconductor fabrication, robotics, circuits, sensors, location-based services, autonomous vehicles, medical devices, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, aerodynamics, acoustics, optics, as well as many others. John is eager to expand his experiences into other technological areas. John was admitted to the Connecticut State Bar in 2008. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science specializing in hardware systems, from the Ohio State University in 1996, and a J.D. from the University of Akron with an emphasis in Intellectual Property in 2006. John is a published author in different areas of creative writing, and he invented a new technique to estimate ballistic trajectories about an order of magnitude more efficiently than existing techniques, resulting in the grant of a U.S. patent. This process provided an improved perspective for working with inventors. In his free time, John enjoys gardening, woodworking, and exploring nature with his wife and children. |
