Albert S. Michalik
Mr. Michalik is a registered patent attorney having more than twenty-four years of experience in all aspects of patent law, with an emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of software and analog and digital circuit-related patent applications. Mr. Michalik’s expertise encompasses a wide range of technologies including operating systems, wireless technologies, computer networks, datacenters, cloud computing, consumer devices, dedicated devices, gaming platforms and peripherals, user interfaces, computer hardware, digital and analog circuitry, signal processing, communications, software and hardware interfaces, and cellular technology. Mr. Michalik is admitted to practice in the State of Washington and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. Other Experience Mr. Michalik’s prior legal experience includes starting and managing the intellectual property department of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, LLP, after founding and growing his own law firm in 1996, The Law Offices of Albert S. Michalik, PLLC, where he was the managing partner for over thirteen years. Prior to that, Mr. Michalik worked in the Chicago office of Leydig, Voit and Mayer, Ltd., as a registered patent attorney, where he also clerked during law school as a registered patent agent until graduation and passing the Illinois Bar. Before law school, Mr. Michalik worked as a software engineer at Videojet Technologies Inc., after working as an electronics engineer at General Instrument Corporation. Mr. Michalik received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif honor society. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics, graduating with honors, from De Paul University in Chicago.
