Michael Ting
Michael Ting is an experienced litigator who specializes in patent litigation, IPR proceedings, trade secret litigation, and trademark litigation. In 2018, Mr. Ting was named one of the top 50 commercial litigators in California. Throughout his career, Mr. Ting has served as lead counsel in over 30 cases and has litigated more than 180 patent cases. In addition, Mr. Ting has represented both complainants and respondents in 10 International Trade Commission Investigations. Mr. Ting has significant trial experience, having conducted numerous cross and direct examinations in trial. Mr. Ting also has significant experience in evaluating patent portfolios for both offensive and defensive purposes. Prior to joining the partnership at Amin, Turocy, & Watson, Mr. Ting was an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati and a managing associate at Orrick, Herrington, and Sutcliffe. In 2013, Mr. Ting co-founded TKLG LLP, which he also served as the partner in charge of recruiting. In addition to his work as a litigator, Mr. Ting is an Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University where he lectures on Intellectual Property to students in the Masters of Biotechnology (MBT) program. Mr. Ting prides himself as a problem solver, coming up with unique, practical, and cost-effective solutions to resolving conflicts on behalf of his clients. He represents companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. |
