Gregory Turocy 於 1991 年取得俄亥俄州律師資格，並於美國專利商標局（USPTO）登錄執業。他於 1994 年取得 U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio 的執業資格，並取得 U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit 的執業資格。
他於 1986 年取得 Ohio State University 化學文學士學位。他並於 1988 年取得 University of Georgia 理學碩士學位，主修有機化學、副修分析化學。他於 1991 年取得 Mercer University 法律博士（J.D.）學位。
他是 “The Synthesis of Racemic E and Z 2,3-Methanotyrosine: New Cyclopropyl Analogs of Tyrosine,” Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1989, 54, 145 一文的共同作者，並為多件專利申請案的具名發明人。
Gregory 曾在日本大阪執業兩年，期間與 Panasonic、Sharp Corporation 及 Kaneka Corporation 合作。目前，他定期前往日本，就智慧財產權法的最新發展發表演講。
專業組織會籍包括 American Bar Association Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section；American Chemical Society；American Intellectual Property Law Association；Intellectual Property Owners Association；以及 Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association（2001-2002 年副會長；1996-2001 年及 2003-2005 年化學／生技實務委員會主席）。
曾於 Case Western Reserve University School of Law 擔任「進階專利說明書撰擬與申請程序（Advanced Patent Preparation and Prosecution, PPP2）」課程兼任教授。
