Gregory Turocyは、1991年にOhio Barに弁護士登録し、米国特許商標庁（U.S. Patent and Trademark Office）における実務を行う資格を有しています。1994年にU.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohioへの登録が認められ、またU.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuitへの登録も認められています。
1986年にOhio State Universityで化学の学士号（Bachelor of Arts）を取得しました。また、1988年にUniversity of Georgiaにおいて、有機化学を主専攻、分析化学を副専攻として修士号（Master of Science）を取得しました。1991年にはMercer Universityで法務博士号（Juris Doctor）を取得しています。
“The Synthesis of Racemic E and Z 2,3-Methanotyrosine: New Cyclopropyl Analogs of Tyrosine,” Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1989, 54, 145の共著者であり、また複数の特許出願において発明者として記載されています。
Gregoryは、日本の大阪で弁護士として2年間実務に従事し、Panasonic、Sharp Corporation、およびKaneka Corporationと共に業務を行いました。現在は、定期的に日本を訪れ、知的財産法の最新動向に関する講演を行っています。
所属する専門団体には、American Bar AssociationのPatent, Trademark and Copyright Section、American Chemical Society、American Intellectual Property Law Association、Intellectual Property Owners Association、およびCleveland Intellectual Property Law Association（2001年～2002年 副会長、1996年～2001年および2003年～2005年 Chemical/Biotech Practice Committee委員長）が含まれます。
Case Western Reserve University School of Lawにおける上級特許出願書類作成・権利化手続（Advanced Patent Preparation and Prosecution (PPP2)）の元非常勤教授（Adjunct Professor）です。
